About
Where AI Converges keeps a running record of what AI assistants recommend when people ask them everyday questions: which app to use, which tool to pick, where to start. Each month we put the same questions to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity and publish every answer in full, with the sources the assistants cited and the data behind each page.
The interesting part is rarely the single answer. It's the pattern: the questions where four assistants built by four companies land on the same product, the ones where they scatter, and the review sites they all seem to read.
Why four assistants, three times each
Four, because together they cover most of what people use when they ask an AI for advice: the assistants from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, and Perplexity, which is built around search. Three times each, because a single answer can be a fluke. An assistant that names the same product in all three answers is telling you something different from one that changes its mind every time, and the pages show both.
We keep the questions simple and the wording fixed from month to month, so the record shows how the answers move as the models and the web they read change.
What we do and don't do
- We publish all three answers from each assistant, not a selection.
- We don't edit answers, and we don't add an editor's pick of our own.
- We don't check or correct what the assistants say. The pages are a record of their answers, not product reviews.
- We aren't affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Perplexity AI, and nothing on the site is a paid placement. The products listed are the ones the assistants named.
Using the data
Every question page links to a JSON file with the full answers, citations and extracted picks. You're welcome to use it under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence; please link back to the question page you used.
The full method, including its limits, is on How we ask. Changes and fixes are logged on Corrections.
